August is here and that means summer is sadly coming to an end. The good thing about the autumn season is that it brings on the fall weddings. If you are a bride who has an upcoming wedding during the fall time, here are some fall themed DIY wedding decorations that will help you save money. Typical fall colors to play around with throughout the theme of your wedding are burnt orange, yellow, maroon, burgundy, and cream.

Centerpiece DIYs

Table runner – A table runner is the perfect way to add fall colors to your guest tables. You could also add your own texture and print to the table runners like the one here. A cheap way to create your own table runner is to use burlap! This is a common fall texture and it is easy to add chicness. When the burlap falls to the ends of the table, tie a lace bow to add a chic flare to it.

Twig accented candle holder – Candles add a romantic touch to wedding centerpieces. This DIY will help add a fall flare to that romantic touch. All you will need is a glass candle holder, various twigs, and a hot glue gun! Take the twigs and size them up to the candle holder. Once you have counted all of the twigs that you need for the candle, start to glue them on.

The actual center piece – You could create a centerpiece for fairly cheap by using these items: miniature pumpkins, sticks, fall colored flowers, tree stumps, apples, and pine cones. Here are a couple of pictures to inspire you on how to set up the actual center piece.

Ceremony Setting DIYs

Fall Themed Signs – Decorative signs are a cute way to point your guests in the right direction. You could paint a wooden sign, or direct people in the right directions by using pumpkins as signs.

Wooden Backdrop – A wooden backdrop behind the alter adds a nice rustic fall touch to your wedding. Here is a DIY on how to make your own wooden backdrop on this blog.

Wedding Favors

Candy corn in a mason jar – Candy corn is the perfect fall themed candy to give to your guests, especially if your wedding is a Halloween themed wedding.

Caramel apples – Caramel apples is another fall treat that is perfect to give to your guests. Here is a DIY on how to make them.

Donuts and cider – Nothing screams fall time like donuts and cider. Set up a table with a platter of donuts and miniature cider bottles for your guests to grab on their way out!
